Event Resources (Flyers, info sheets)
Planning an event requires passion, commitment and time. Ask your friends, family and co-workers to help you plan your event. The more people you have, the more skills, enthusiasm and bright ideas will be brought to the table, which will help make your event even better.
Establishing event goals will help to keep your planning committee focused and realistic. Knowing in advance how much you hope to raise will help you to determine your budget. Identify your possible sources of income (ticket sales, sponsorship) and estimates of all potential expenses. If you can keep your costs down and under control, you will reach or even surpass your fundraising goal.
The more people who know about your event, the more successful your event will be. Send out links from your online fundraising page or post via social media. If you are sending out letters to gain sponsorship support, we would be happy to send you an personalized endorsement letter like this sample.
We ask that monies raised from your event be collected and submitted to the National Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation within one month of the event using our event template so that tax receipts can be issued.
As the organizer of this fundraising event, you will keep accurate records of the funds raised and record the names/addresses/email of all those who donate more than $20.
Following your event, you will send the net proceeds of your fundraiser along with the event spreadsheet to Pancreatic Cancer Canada by cheque made out to the National Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation.
If you have any questions about tax receipting, please review our tax receipt guidelines or contact admin@pancreaticcancercanada.ca
Remember to acknowledge everyone involved in the planning of your event. Let them know how much you raised and how their support made a difference in our mutual fight against pancreatic cancer,
