Executive Director

Pancreatic Cancer Canada is thrilled to introduce Michelle Capobianco as the organization's first Executive Director - Press Release.

Michelle CapobiancoMichelle is committed to taking Pancreatic Cancer Canada (PCC) to the next level. She comes to us with an extensive background in the not-for-profit sector and specializes in bringing together corporate and not-for-profit interests.

Michelle was a senior staff member of the MS Society of Canada, a consultant for Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation, preceded by a long-term tenure with Easter Seals Ontario. At these organizations, she provided leadership on numerous national new business development ventures, resulting in revenues in excess of $1M per year for the charities and a clear increase in brand recognition, increased employee engagement and a positive charity affiliation for the corporate partners.

From our beginnings as a grass-root, volunteer-led organization founded in 2005, we have grown exponentially to become the National Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation dedicated to fighting this terrible disease.  We have donated over 3 million dollars for research, patient and caregiver support, established a national research grant competition, organized educational symposia, initiated two national awareness campaigns and are leading the development of a Canadian pancreatic cancer research strategy.

Michelle is looking forward to working with our volunteer Board of Directors, our Founders, our National Medical Advisory Board that includes leading Canadian research scientists and clinicians, our supportive Partners  and our incredible team of volunteers across Canada.

If you would like to connect with Michelle, you can reach her at mcapobianco@pancancanada.ca
