Often you don't know how people truly feel about you until it is too late

Bill Martineau

My father Bill Martineau was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer during the summer of 2010. Fortunately he was a candidate for the whipple procedure, which went very well and he recovered quickly and had a good quality of life for all of 2011 until the cancer reappeared in the spring of 2012. After enduring a great deal of pain, my father passed away on September 5th of 2012. As a way of memoralizing him, our family decided to direct donations to the Prescott Golf Club where he was a member for 40+ years. Our idea was to replace the aging welcome sign and flower bed that was directly across from his house. We were overwhelmed by the support of friends and family with upwards of 300 people showing up at the celebration of his life. My father would never believed that he had so many people that cared so deeply about him. By the end of this May the new welcome sign and flower bed will be completed in his memory. He was a good father, friend, husband and is missed by so many people.
